The Calvary Torch Volunteer Team
The Calvary Torch Missions Volunteer Team is comprised of dedicated members including both professionals, non professionals and students who are interested in helping the less privileged. The volunteer team members are passionate about Jesus and extremely motivated to aid countries with less developed healthcare systems especially in Africa.
Our volunteer team are typically located at our designated locations and are recruited locally to help us facilitate all arrangements from travelling, logistics and healthcare clinics. travels to these countries and locates the most healthcare disadvantaged areas in the hinterlands to aid. The volunteer team also helps in educating the patients and the local healthcare practioners on proper health and dental care.

Lady Pauline Esoga (esq)
President & Founding Member
Lady Pauline is a Registered Nurse with over three decades experience in Nursing. She is the founding President and is currently a Nurse Manager at the Howard County General Hospital Maryland USA (a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine).
She has a Masters Degree in Health Administration, a Bachelors in Nursing and an Bachelors in Law.
She was born in Nigeria and is married with four Kids and a firm believer in propagating the Gospel of healing and caring.
Ms Brenda Eligan
Founding Member & RN
Ms Brenda is a Registered Nurse with some many years of experience in Nursing. She holds a Masters in Nursing Sciences (MSN) as well as a BSN. She is a founding member of the team.
She has had experience as a Transistional Care Co-ordinator and is currently employed at National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH).
She is a devout christian whose actions embody the principle of christian faith and she reaches out to provide service to those who need it.
Ms Yvonne Griner
Founding Member & RN
Ms Yvonne is a Registered Nurse with several years experience in Nursing. She holds a BSN Degree as well as a Masters of Arts (MA). She is a founding member of the team.
She has had experience as an Adjunct Professor at the George Mason University of Nursing and in the Cardiac Catherization Lab at the Anne Arundel Medical Center Annapolis. She is currently employed at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH).
She is a devout Christian who goes out of her way to bring smiles on the faces of the less priviledged.
Dr. Chioma Krystle Esoga (Pharm D)
Member & Team Pharmacist
Dr Chioma is a Clinical Pharmacist who completed her PGY-1 residency as Franciscan St Margaret Health in Hammond Indiana USA.
She has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and also has a Doctor of Pharmarcy Degree from the Howard University College of Pharamacy.
She is driven to love, help and influence her community by providing healthcare and spreading the word of Christ.
Sir Festus Esoga
Founding Member & Logistics Coordinator
Sir Festus is a veteran in international export and import with over four decades of experience in the business and service industry.
As Chairman/CEO of both OBS Ltd and Fickon Resources Inc. he has brought a wealth of experience and management especially in shipping and logistics processes. He plays an advisory role and helps co-ordinate the team with respect to shipping of medical equipments and dealing with the local service industries.
Sir Esoga is devout christian who is married with four children and is also a Knight of Good Shepherd.
Kelechi Esoga, MD
Member & Team Medical Doctor
Dr Kelechi is an MD/M.Sc holder and completed a Graduate Medical Education in General Practice in Puerto Rico USA.
He enjoys spirted political and spiritual conversations. He is urgent to win as many souls as possible for Christ through demonstrating his love through the very profession which he shares with the great Physician.
Mr. Chukwuma Esoga
Member & Team Commuincations Director
Mr Chukwuma is a Bachelors of Science Holder in Computer Science & Mathematics from the Babcock University Nigeria.
He is passionate about Information Technology and has brought his experience to provide a viable media and web presence for team. He co-ordinates the team media coverage and info tech needs and is also the team's webmaster.
Ms Sabrina Lewis
Team Member & Clinical Associate
Ms Sabrina is a Registered Nurse and a member of the team. She brings a lot of zeal in her role in the team and has experience with logistics especially when the team is preparing for a mission.
Mr Obinna Esoga
Team Member & Visual Expert
Mr Obinna is the team's visual tech and has experience in video editing technology and photography.
He brings his passion in video capturing and editing in helping to document the team's efforts during their missions. He also helps out with the logistics especially when the team is set to embark on a mission.
He is a young and passionate christian with a flair for giving and selfless service.
Dr. Gladys Gichomo
Founding Member & RN
Dr Gladys is a Registered Nurse who also has a doctorate degree in Nursing. She is one of the founding members of the team. She holds an MBA and an MSN (Masters Nursing Sciences). She is currently employed at the University of Maryland Medical Center Baltimore.
She is happily married with kids.
Theodore Osuala, MD
Member & Team Physician
Dr Theodore is the team physician with approximately a three decades experience in medicine. He has a Medical Degree from the University of Port Harcourt College of Health and a degree in Phychiatry from the University of Maryland USA. He is affliated to the Prince George's and the Washington Adventist Hospital.
He is devout christian and married with four kids. He is also a practicing minister of the Gospel.
Late Mrs Ifeoma Ezedigbo
Founding Member & RN (UNTH Nigeria)
Late Ifeoma was one of the founding members of the team and established the team's Nigerian branch. She was an RN with over two decades experience in Nursing. She was the Deputy Director of Nursing Services (DDNS) at the Univeristy of Nigerian Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Enugu.
She was very instrumental in organising the team maiden mission trip to Nigeria and was a dedicated and loyal team member.
She was married with children and was a devout christian with a passion for helping the needy by providing quality healthcare service.
